LOL While a popular high school student (Miley Cyrus), who lives with her divorced mother (Demi Moore), two siblings, and her grandmother (Marlo Thomas) in Chicago, confides in her best friends (Ashley Hinshaw and Jean-Luc Bilodeau) about her cheating boyfriend (George Finn), her attraction to a teenage songwriting musician (Douglas Booth), and coping with her peers (Ashley Greene, Adam G. Sevani, et al.) in this run-of-the-mill, slice-of-life, tween-geared, predictable, star-dotted (Fisher Stevens, Gina Gershon, and Nora Dunn), 97-minute remake of the 2008 French comedy, her mother finds solace in the arms of her ex-husband (Thomas Jane) and then finds herself attracted to a flirtatious detective (Jay Hernandez).
