Son of No One, The

A dark, gritty, twist-filled 2011 film in which a traumatized, guilt-ridden, greenhorn New York City cop (Channing Tatum), who has a quirky partner (James Ranson) and lives with his beautiful wife (Katie Holmes) and epileptic young daughter (Ursula Parker) on Staten Island in 2002, is haunted by the murders of two slime-ball men (Lemon and Michael Rivera) in the rundown projects in Queens in 1986 that he committed and covered up as a young boy (Jake Cherry) with the help of a friend (Brian Gilbert) when his ambitious boss (Ray Liotta) starts to receive incriminating letters, a tenacious newspaper reporter (Juliette Binoche) begins to investigate the cold cases where a retired detective (Al Pacino) left off, and his friend (Tracy Morgan) struggles to keep the secret.
