Thousand Words, A

After a slick, smooth-talking, egotistical, shallow literary agent (Eddie Murphy), who often stretches the truth with his clients, boss (Allison Janney), geeky assistant (Clark Duke), comely wife (Kerry Washington), and dementia-afflicted mother (Ruby Dee), tries to land a coveted deal with a successful and popular spiritual Indian guru (Cliff Curtis) to publish his alleged book in this disappointing, lackluster, predictable comedy, he finds himself choosing his words carefully when a magical tree pops up in his backyard and then fears for his life when the branches are bare as one leaf falls for every word he speaks.
