Warrior While a troubled, pill-popping ex-Marine (Tom Hardy) turns to his estranged, guilt-ridden, widowed, recovering alcoholic father (Nick Nolte) in Pittsburgh to help him train for a mixed-martial arts tournament that has a $5 million purse in this gritty, riveting, suspenseful, well-acted, realistic film with religious overtones, a high school physics teacher (Joe Edgerton), who has a supportive wife (Jennifer Morrison) and two young daughters in Philadelphia, decides also to enter the Sparta competition in Atlantic City to save his home from foreclosure.
