Adam Resurrected

A strange, tragic, arty, well-acted film about the degradations and torture suffered by a psychologically damaged Jewish circus entertainer (Jeff Goldblum) during WWII at the hands of a sadistic Nazi concentration camp commander (William Dafoe), who made him his pet "dog," and after he arrives at an Israeli mental hospital in the middle of the desert in 1961, he is able to save and connect with a young boy (Tudor Rapiteanu) with wild canine behavior.
