Horse Boy, The

A fascinating, touching documentary that includes some insights from autism experts, such as Dr. Simon Baron-Cohen of Cambridge University, Dr. Temple Grandin, Dr. Steve Edelson, Dr. Dale Rudin, and anthropologist Roy Richard Grinker, and chronicles the inspirational journey of travel journalist Rupert Isaacson and his psychology professor wife Kristin Neff in Texas who travel to Mongolia with their tantrum-prone son Rowan, who was diagnosed with autism in Apr. 2004 and has an affinity for horses, in the hope of healing their son by consulting with shamans and riding horses and reindeer on the Mongolian Steppes.
