Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All by Myself

Jazz and gospel music sung by Gladys Knight and Mary J. Blige highlights this down-to-earth, religious film in which a hard-drinking nightclub singer (Taraji P. Henson) with low self-esteem trades sex for a roof over her head from her abusive, married lover (Brian J. White), but with the help of a handsome Mexican immigrant (Adam Rodriquez), she reevaluates her life and comes to terms with the idea of accepting the responsibility of caring for her sister's children (Hope Olaide Wilson, Kwesi Boakye, and Frederick Siglar) after the death of her mother.
