Julie & Julia Delectable food and punchy dialogue take center stage in this charming, well-acted, multifaceted, factually inspired, Nora Ephron chick flick, which is based on the book My Life in France, that chronicles larger-than-life, world-famous cook Julia Childs (Meryl Streep) as she finds her passion for cooking when she attends Le Cordon Bleu school after she and her husband (Stanley Tucci) move to Paris in 1949 and wannabe author (Amy Adams) who is inspired by Julia to recreate all of the recipes from her cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking: Volume 1 in 365 days and to write a blog about the experience after she and her husband (Chris Messina) move into a cramped apartment above a pizza parlor in Queens, NY, in 2002.
