Wrestler, The A poignant, intense, gritty, gut-wrenching, hard-hitting film in which bloody, black-and-blue, broken down, over-the-hill, painkiller-and-steroid-infused wrestler Randy "the Ram" Robinson (Mickey Rourke), who lives from paycheck to paycheck in a rundown New Jersey trailer, tries to reconnect with his estranged daughter (Evan Rachel Wood) and to connect with a stripper (Marisa Tomei) with whom he identifies, but he seems to find meaning to his life only in the ring.
