Garrison Keillor: The Man in the Red Shoes A hodge-podge, behind-the-scenes documentary, which is part of the American Masters series, that consists of excerpts from Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion radio show broadcast since 1978 from the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul and live concerts, brief interviews with actors such as Sue Scott and Tim Russell and sound effects engineers such as Fred Newman and Tom Keith who give insightful and humorous tidbits about the writer, and Garrison himself walking about the Twin Cities and New York City talking about his childhood growing in North Dakota and his creative writing process.
