City of Ember A flawed ending mars this dark, somber, futuristic thriller about two gutsy, free-thinking teenagers (Harry Treadway and Saoirse Ronan) who try to find an escape for the citizens (Tim Robbins, Bill Murray, Toby Jones, Martin Landau, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Mary Kay Place, B.J. Hogg, et al.) of a crumbling underground city when their only generator begins to fail, which jeopardizes all of their lives.
