Bab'Aziz: The Prince That Contemplated His Soul

Colorful costumes and wind-blown, sand-filled landscapes dominate this slow-moving, hard-to-relate-to, poetic 2005 film about a dark-eyed Iranian girl (Maryam Hamid) who is eager to hear the ancient tale that her blind grandfather (Parviz Shahinkhou) weaves while they cross the Iranian and Tunisian deserts to attend a gathering of dervishes that occurs once every 30 years.
