Slipstream

Anthony Hopkins's self-indulgent, disappointing, esoteric, off-the-wall, nonsensical, and meandering star-studded (Fionnula Flanagan, Christopher Lawford, William Lucking, Aaron Tucker, Kevin McCarthy, et al.) comedic film noir in which reality and dreams merge for a dying screenwriter (Anthony Hopkins) and real people, including his wife (Stella Arroyave), interchange with characters in a film involving a shrill studio executive (John Turturro), a movie director (Gavin Grazer), an actress (Lisa Pepper), a murdered bartender (Michael Clarke Duncan), a café waitress (S. Epatha Merkerson), hitmen (Christian Slater and Jeffrey Tambor), and a script supervisor (Camryn Manheim).
