Fat Girls An hilarious, biting, satirical, 2006 coming-of-age comedy about a gay, pudgy school student (Ash Christian) who lives with his cheating plumber father (Mitchell Self) and devoutly religious mother (Deborah Theaker) in a small town in Texas, who dreams of one day to star in a musical on Broadway, who gets up his nerve to ask a hunky British student (Joe Flaten) to the prom, and gets through high school with the support of a nerdy teacher (Jonathan Caouette) with a secret life, his popular cousin (Justin Bruening), and his brash, overweight best friend (Ashley Fink) who has fallen for a well-endowed, adopted Cuban student (Robin de Jesus).
