Little Foxes , The

While a young aristocrat (Teresa Wright) in the Deep South falls for a handsome, budding journalist (Richard Carlson) in 1900 in this riveting, well-acted, black-and-white, star-studded (Dan Duryea, Jessica Grayson, Patricia Collinge, et al.) 1941 film, her conniving, coldhearted mother (Bette Davis) tries to coerce her ailing, estranged husband (Herbert Marshall) to invest in the building of a cotton mill after she and her brothers (Charles Dingle and Carl Denton Reid) make a deal with a Chicago industrialist (Russell Hicks).
