My Winnipeg Psychedelic, disconnected imagery dominates this quirky, nightmarish, rambling, self-indulgent Guy Maddin mock documentary in which the Canadian filmmaker pays homage to his hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, by blending the town's colorful history with his own as he shows his life growing up with his domineering mother (Ann Savage) and dysfunctional family.
