Max Minsky and Me While her estranged German parents (Adriana Altaras and Jan Josef Liefers) and her aunt (Monica Bleibtreu) are busy planning her bat mitzvah in this engaging, coming-of-age, heartfelt film, a star-gazing, 13-year-old, top-notch student (Zoe Moore) in Berlin, who dreams of becoming an astronaut, is busy learning basketball moves from a gifted teenage player (Emil Reinke) so that she can try out successfully for the schools basketball team and compete in a tournament that an astronomy-loving prince is hosting.
