City of Men

While a teenage Brazilian father (Douglas Silva) ends up caring for his young son (Vinícius and Vitor Oliveira) after his wife (Camila Monteiro) leaves for San Paulo to try and provide them a better life and his 17-year-old best friend (Darlan Cunha) searches for the father (Rodrigo dos Santos) he never knew in this gritty, violent, disturbing, and engaging sequel to City of God, they both try to survive when rival, gun-toting gang members (Luciano Vidigal, Eduardo ‘BR' Piranha, Pedro Heneique, et al.) begin a war to take over Dead End Hill in the slums of Rio de Janeiro.
