Violin, The A riveting, unpredictable, black-and-white, 2005 Francisco Vargas film filled with melancholy and striking cinematography in which a courageous, elderly, one-handed Mexican violinist (Don Angel Tavira) subsidizes his farming by playing music with his guitar-playing son (Gerardo Taracena) and young grandson (Mario Garibaldi) and uses his musical talents to charm a ruthless, music-loving military commander (Dagoberto Gama) in order to retrieve ammunition hidden in his cornfield to help his desperate son and the guerillas defeat the armed revolutionary militia during the 1970s.
