Pickup on South Street

After a light-fingered, pick-pocketing grifter (Richard Widmark) nabs a microfilm that contains classified government secrets from a beautiful woman (Jean Peters) on the New York City subway in this 1953 black-and-white film, her former boyfriend (Richard Kiley), who is selling secrets to the Communist spies, coerces her to try and recover the microfilm from the thief.
