Ira & Abby Adultery, therapists (Jason Alexander, Darrell Hammond, Peter Hirsch, Donna Murphy, and Chris Parnell), and divorces abound in this creative, whimsical, lighthearted 2006 romantic comedy when a likable, twice-married sales consultant (Jennifer Westfeldt) for a New York City health club proposes to a neurotic, decision-phobic psychology student (Chris Messina) after knowing him for all of 6 hours to the delight of her parents (Frances Conroy and Fred Willard) but to the concern of his folks (Judith Light and Robert Klein) who preferred his longtime girlfriend (Maddie Corman) of 9 years.
