Seeker, The: The Dark is Rising Special effects and a nonsensical plot dominate this disappointing fantasy film about a 14-year-old boy (Alexander Ludwig) living with his parents (Wendy Crewson and John Benjamin Hickey) and five siblings (Gregory Smith, Emma Lockhart, Edmund Entin, Gary Etin, et al.) in England who is protected by guardians (Ian McShane, Jim Piddock, et al.) as he tries to find six signs that will save the world from darkness and the power of The Rider (Christopher Eccleston).
