Resurrecting the Champ A touching, well-paced, twist-filled, factually inspired film about a Denver sportswriter (Josh Hartnett) who struggles to make a name for himself and goes behind the backs of his boss (Alan Alda) and wife (Kathryn Morris) to write a story about a homeless former boxer (Samuel L. Jackson), which gets him accolades from a television casting director (Teri Hatcher) and his trusting son (Dakota Goyo) but ends up garnering a reputation he does not anticipate.
