Love Song for Bobby Long, A Snail pacing mars this lackluster, 119-minute, 2004 film in which a high school dropout (Scarlett Johansson) leaves her boyfriend in Florida to attend her estranged mother's funeral and ends up developing a cantankerous, but mutually beneficial relationship with a drunken, unemployed English professor (John Travolta) and his protégé writer (Gabriel Macht) when she moves into her mom's rundown house in New Orleans where they have been squatting for years.
