Jindabyne After an auto mechanic (Gabriel Byrne) in Australia leaves his pregnant wife (Laura Linney) and young son (Sean Rees-Wemyss) at home for the weekend to go trout fishing with three mates (John Howard, Stelios Yiakmis, and Simon Stone) and then unexpectedly find a dead Aboriginal woman in the river in this fascinating, but odd, frustrating, and unresolved film, the fishermen shock and anger the townsfolk and irate the authorities when they foolishly decide to continue fishing and neglect to immediately report the murder.
