After the Wedding Life unexpectedly turns upside down for an aid relief worker (Mads Mikkelsen) in Bombay in the slow-paced, but compelling film when he agrees to return to Copenhagen after a 20-year absence to garner financing for his orphanage from a binge-drinking billionaire entrepreneur (Rolf Lassgård) and ends up attending a wedding where he surprisingly learns that the bride (Stine Fischer Christensen) is the daughter of his ex-lover (Sidse Babett Knudsen).
