On Each Side

As a filmmaker (Miguel Franchi) documents the building of the Rosario-Victoria Bridge over the Parana River that will link two Argentinean cities in this engaging Hugo Grosso story that spans a period of time like the river, vignettes interconnect the lives of people affected by the construction, including two flirtatous sisters (Mónica Galán and Mónica Alfonso) unknowingly renting a room to a gay German engineer (Julián Knab) attracted to a transvestite (Juan Pablo Geretto), an elderly man (Héctor Bidonde) trying to sell the house he has lived in for more than 50 years, two adventurous kids (David Olmos and Emanuel Rojas) entertaining themselves, a petty thief (Miguel Bosco) and his comely accomplice (Milagros Alarcón) up to no good, and a fisherman (David Edery) making a living from the river.
