Astronaut Farmer, The Suspense and excitement intensify in this delightfully entertaining, feel-good film when a pigheaded Texas farmer (Billy Bob Thornton) with an aeronautical engineering degree encounters bureaucratic red tape, global media frenzy, skeptical and threatening government officials (Bruce Willis, Jon Gries, Mark Polish, et al.), and curious townsfolk (Tim Blake Nelson, et al.) after he buys 10,000 pounds of rocket fuel for his homemade spacecraft that he and his supportive wife (Virginia Madsen), two kids (Jasper Polish and Logan Polish), and father-in-law (Bruce Dern) hope will blast him into orbit.
