Little Children While a psychotic retired cop (Noah Emmerich) in Massachusetts becomes increasingly obsessed with a creepy pedophile (Jackie Earle Haley) who lives with his elderly mother (Phyllis Somerville) in this intense, compelling, and superbly acted film, an unhappily married social anthropologist (Kate Winslet) struggles to gain the attention of her porn-addicted husband (Gregg Edelman) and eventually hungers for the attention of a hunky house husband (Patrick Wilson) she meets at a neighborhood park filled with other bored mothers (Trini Alvarado, Mary B. Cain, and Marsha Dietlein) when he cares for his young son while his striking wife (Jennifer Connelly) makes documentary films.
