Elevator to the Gallows

A taut, delightfully twist-filled, black-and-white 1958 Louis Malle crime thriller in which the well-planned murder of a French businessman (Jean Wall) goes awry for an ex-paratrooper (Maurice Ronet) and his beautiful mistress (Jeanne Moreau) when the killer becomes stuck in an elevator after shooting his lover's husband and then a flower shop girl (Yori Bertin) and her reckless boyfriend (Georges Poujouly) steal his convertible in Paris and end up murdering two German tourists.
