Fallen Idol, The The keeping of secrets causes trouble for a frightened, snake-loving son (Bobby Henrey) of an ambassador in London as the young boy simply tries to protect the much-loved, innocent butler (Ralph Richardson) and his mistress (Michèle Morgan) when a skeptical police inspector (Denis O'Dea) questions him about the death of his mean-spirited nanny (Sonia Dresdel) at the embassy in this clever, black-and-white, 1948 psychological thriller based on a Graham Greene short story.
