Departed, The A smart plot and colorful dialogue highlight this well-paced, gritty, suspenseful, Martin Scorsese film in which two Boston detectives (Martin Sheen and Mark Wahlberg) convince a steely greenhorn cop (Leonardo DiCaprio) to go deep undercover and off the books to work for an unscrupulous mobster (Jack Nicholson) who has at least one dirty cop (Matt Damon) on the payroll.
