Hollywoodland A plodding-paced, factually inspired, unsuccessful film noir in which a down-on-his-luck private detective (Adrian Brody) gets himself into hot water when he challenges the LAPD to reopen the case involving the alleged suicide of legendary superman George Reeves (Ben Affleck) in 1959 after investigating the evidence surrounding his suspicious death and the star's longtime involvement with the smitten wife (Diane Lane) of an adulterous MGM mogul (Bob Hoskins) and a greedy vixen (Robin Tunney).
