Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Tension-relieving humor, spectacular visual effects, and striking makeup dominate this uneven-paced, high-energy, wit-filled, family-oriented 2-1/2 hour sequel in which eccentric and unpredictable Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) searches for the key to the dead man's chest to end his servitude pact with Davy Jones (Bill Nighy), while a doomed prisoner (Orlando Bloom) aboard the Flying Dutchman finagles to get the key from the tentacle-dripping Davy Jones and his crustacean-infested crew to save his own life and that of his swashbuckling fiancée (Keira Knightly) and the corrupt head (Tom Hollander) of the East Indian Trading Company coerces a former English commander (Jack Davenport) also to steal the key in an attempt to gain control over the high seas.
