Sketches of Frank Gehry

Sydney Pollack narrates this artistically captivating, but unstructured and meandering documentary that pays homage to world-renown cubist architect Frank O. Gehry by incorporating interviews with coworkers, leading architects, artists, and even his therapist to gain insight into his friend's unique creative vision and design process from the initial abstract sketch and 3D model to the finished product, including the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Vitra Furniture Museum, the Disney Ice hockey rink, the Weisman Art Museum, the Santa Monica Place Mall, the DG Bank, and a multitude of private residences that use a variety of materials such as titanium and glass, concrete and steel, and wood and stone.
