Death of Mr. Lazarescu, The This dark, attention-grabbing, but slow-paced Romanian film gives a horrifying glimpse into the Romanian health care system as it follows the outlandish and nightmarish experience of a 62-year-old retired engineer (Ion Fiscuteanu), who complains of a severe headache and stomach pains, as he is shuffled from hospital to hospital in Bucharest by a nurse (Luminita Gheorghiu) and an ambulance driver (Gabriel Spahiu) after rude, impatient, and incompetent doctors refuse to treat him.
