American Dreamz In this witty, entertaining, tongue-in-cheek parody of American Idol, the conceited host (Hugh Grant) garners new through-the-roof ratings when the clueless U.S. president (Dennis Quaid) agrees to be a guest judge on the popular television show despite concern from his right-hand man (Willem Dafoe) and his wife (Marcia Gay Harden), while an Ohio beauty (Mandy Moore) makes her boyfriend jealous (Chris Klein) when she competes with other hopeful contestants, including a Broadway show-tune-crazed Middle Eastern singer (Sam Golzari) living his dreams in America.
