Preaching to the Choir Gospel music dominates this religious film about a charismatic, Grammy-winning rapper (Billoah Greene) who evades a vengeful music mogul (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and his goons by returning to Harlem where he grew up with his now estranged brother (Darien Sills-Evans) and aunt (Novella Nelson) after their mother was murdered in 1988 and by reconnecting with the in-the-red Baptist church at which his brother preaches to his faithful and loyal congregation (Patti LaBelle, Tichina Arnold, Rosa Arredondo, Denise Burse, et al.).
