Something New After repeated prodding of her three best friends (Taraji P. Henson, Wendy Raquel Robinson, and Golden Brooks) to find a man, the well-meaning matchmaking of her snobbish younger brother (Donald Faison) to his like-minded mentor (Blair Underwood), and the growing concern of her affluent parents (Alfre Woodard and Earl Billings) for her happiness in this enjoyable, but predictable film, a fastidious and picky senior manager (Sanaa Lathan) at a Los Angeles accounting firm goes outside of her comfort zone when she tenuously begins a relationship with a hunky landscape architect (Simon Baker).
