Breakfast on Pluto

A slow-paced and choppy Neil Jordan film in which a smiling, mild-mannered Irish transvestite (Cillian Murphy) unwittingly involves himself with the IRA after accepting housing digs from a singer (Gavin Friday), eventually heads to London during the 1970s to find his mother who abandoned him at the doorsteps of a priest (Liam Neeson), and is befriended by a nightclub magician (Stephen Rea) and an amusement park entertainer (Brendan Gleeson) before two cops (Steven Waddington and Ian Hart) erroneously arrest him in connection with a terrorist bombing.
