Jarhead After a no-nonsense Marine Corps sergeant (Jamie Foxx) puts a Marine sniper (Jake Gyllenhaal) and his cocky fellow comrades (Peter Sarsgaard, Jacob Vargas, Skyler Stone, Brian Geraghty, et al.) through the hellish paces of bootcamp training in this snail-paced film, the antsy Marines realize that they are in for a rude awakening when they are sent to Kuwait in 1989 initially to guard oil wells and end up in Desert Storm.
