Oliver Twist Roman Polanski directs this well-told, well-acted Charles Dickens classic in which a hungry, young orphan (Barney Clark) gets entangled with a cagey thief (Ben Kingsley), his dangerous partner (Jamie Foreman), and a band of pickpockets (Harry Eden, et al.) but is eventually befriended by a kindhearted English gentlemen (Edward Hardwicke) after he arrives in 1800s London.
