Lords of Dogtown A factually based film about a group of teenage surfers (Emile Hirsch, Victor Rasuk, John Robinson, et al.) in Venice, California, that became internationally known as the Z-Boys when the plucky skateboarders were instrumental in sparking the skateboarding craze in the mid-1970s with the help of their misguided, alcoholic mentor (Heath Ledger).
