Longest Yard, The When a former Pittsburgh quarterback (Adam Sandler) is sent to prison and its crooked Texas warden (James Cromwell) blackmails him into forming a worthy football team in this entertaining, but violent remake of the 1974 film classic, he collaborates with the inmates (Chris Rock, Nelly, Dalip Singh, Nicholas Turturro, Terry Crews, Lobo Sebastian, et al.) and a former Heisman trophy winner (Burt Reynolds) to compete against the much-hated guards (William Fichtner, Brian Bosworth, Kevin Nash, Bill Romanowski, et al.).
