Frank Miller's Sin City An extremely violent, highly stylized, cinematographically intriguing, black-and-white film that exposes the underbelly of Basin City in which an angina-stricken cop (Bruce Willis) is shot by his partner (Michael Madsen) while trying to save a kidnapped girl (Jessica Alba), a monster-like convict (Mickey Rourke) seeks revenge against a light-footed cannibal (Elijah Wood) and anyone (Rutger Hauer, et al.) connected to the murder of his golden-haired girlfriend (Jamie King), a salesman (Josh Hartnett) kills the woman he supposedly loves, two men (Clive Owen and Benicio Del Toro ) vie for the affections of a bar waitress (Brittany Murphy), and gun-toting hookers (Rosario Dawson, Alexis Bledel, et al.) rule the streets.
