Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, The Mind-boggling special effects dominate this second installment in the Tolkien trilogy in which a nightmarish creature (Andy Serkis) accompanies two Hobbits (Elijah Wood and Sean Astin) on their journey to Mount Doom to destroy the ring, while others (Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom, John Rhys-Davies, Ian McKellen, et al.) prepare to battle the ferocious armies of the dark wizard (Christopher Lee) for control of Middle Earth.
