Storytelling

This compelling, but disturbing film is divided into two vignettes: The first story, Fiction, is about a writer (Selma Blair) who seeks revenge against her sadistic college professor (Robert Widsom) after she argues with her boyfriend (Leo Fitzpatrick); the second vignette, Nonfiction, depicts a greenhorn filmmaker's (Paul Giamatti) attempt to shoots a documentary about the horrendously dysfunctional lives of a well-to-do New York family (John Goodman, Julie Hagerty, Noah Fleiss, and Jonathan Osser).
